When I was eight years old I had a desire to play the piano in church. I began piano lessons when I was 12. At age 14 my dream was fulfilled when I started playing offertories once a month in our church, and I started playing for a weekly nursing home service.

During my Jr. and Sr. years of High School, I became full time church pianist, took violin lessons, took lessons from 2 different piano teachers, played and sang in state competitions, and had 13 private piano students along with 6 house cleaning jobs to pay for all of my music lessons.

I graduated magna cum laude from Hyles-Anderson College in 2006 with my B.S. in Secondary Education. While in college, I played for several singing groups at least 2 to 3 times a week.  I played each Sunday for my Sunday school department for 3 years. I traveled on tour for the college for 2 summers singing and playing the piano in churches all across the country.

After my husband and I were married in 2005, I started teaching private piano lessons out of our home which I have been doing for 11.5 years now.

We now have an 8 year old daughter and a 7 year old son.

After graduation, I was hired by Hammond Baptist Schools and Hyles-Anderson College to teach piano. I taught for Hammond Baptist for 2 years, and Hyles-Anderson College for 3 years. I stopped teaching there when my children were born and just taught private lesson out of our home.

I play as a substitute pianist at our church, and I am heavily involved in the Music program.
